FACE TO FACE LEARNING AT SCHOOLS SHOULD NOT BE HELD IN 2021
Covid-19 pandemic brings everything is done at home. Including learning activity at school or university. Almost 9th month, the student should do an online learning. Lately, news has emerged from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) about face-to face learning at school should be held in 2021. Looking at the current situation that hasn't improved bevore, i think that the decision is not save if will be held in next year. Here are the reason
First, If schools are allowed to
reopen, the risk level of COVID-19 transmission will increase rapidly, laziness
that arises due to being accustomed to the atmosphere at home, the psychosocial
condition of students who tend to be accustomed to staring at their own devices
so that they feel lazy or insecure about hanging out with peers. Implementation
of health protocols that later cannot be realized properly because children
tend to prefer to move freely and ignore health protocols. There are also many
people, especially parents who do not agree to open schools in January 2021
when the Covid-19 outbreak is not over in Indonesia. Most parents worry about
the safety of their children if they have to return to school in the near
future. Opening schools during this pandemic risks creating a second wave of
the Covid-19 virus.
Second, What we do know is that corona virus is abundant in Indonesia and now many areas are red zone, we don't agree that learning face-to-face at school starts in 2021, The effect if you go face-to-face with a school as an increase in cases or corona disease and what we know is the corona virus in Indonesia is much more and if you do it in person then you'll be learning more about the corona virus because it doesn't keep its distance, and we know that many people in Indonesia do not comply with the current health protocol, such as wearing masks and keeping a distance.
