Monas National Monument
The
National Monument, or "Monas" as it is popularly called, is one of
the monuments built during the Sukarno era of fierce nationalism. The top of
the National Monument (Monas) is Freedom Square. It stands for the people's
determination to achieve freedom and the crowning of their efforts in the
Proclamation of Independence in August 1945. The 137-meter tall marble obelisk
is topped with a flame coated with 35 kg of gold. The base houses a historical
museum and a hall for meditations. The monument is open to the public and upon
request the lift can carry visitors to the top, which offers a bird's eye view
on the city and the sea.

Online Learning is Negative for Students
Online learning is a learning system
that is done remotely or commonly called online. When the Covid-19 outbreak was
hitting the Indonesian nation, online learning was the only way used to keep
learning activities. However, this online learning activity did not go as it
should. Why it can happen?
Distance
learning certainly requires technology media such as gadgets and laptops. This
is also a problem because not everyone has a gadget especially among the less
fortunate. However, because of the current situation where online learning is
being carried out, gadgets have become a much-needed item. Apart from that, not
all regions in Indonesia support a good internet connection. Online learning
also certainly costs more because an internet connection requires a quota. This
makes it even more difficult for the underprivileged especially with the
conditions of the Covid-19 outbreak. As a result, many children drop out of
school and choose to work to help their parents make a living.
Many
students will find it difficult to concentrate and feel heavy because of the
many tasks but do not understand the material. Staying at home also leaves
students feeling bored and stressed. It affects students who become unable to
focus during online learning. Since learning is done in their own homes, social
interaction between students, teachers, and other friends will decline.
Online
learning for students during the Covid-19 outbreak currently has a lot of bad
effects because of the many obstacles and difficulties that students have to
face. Therefore, the government, students, the community must be able to
contribute to overcoming the Covid-19 outbreak so that it passes quickly and
offline learning can quickly take place. Besides, so that the country’s economy
can bounce back. Because Covid-19 is an
unwanted disaster and is developing very fast. So there needs to be awareness
from all parties to comply with health protocols for the common interest.
