1. DESCRIPTIVE TEXT 

Eiffel Tower

    The Eiffel Tower is the tallest tower located in Paris, France and this tower is also included in one of the wonders of the world. The tower is named after the designer, Gustave Eiffel, a French engineer who also designed the framework of the Statue of Liberty in New York. The Eiffel Tower has a height of 324 meters and the size of its square foundation is 125 meters and almost all parts of the building are made of iron with a weight of approximately 7,300 tons. Visitors can buy tickets in advance if they want to visit this tower. The tower has three levels of floors for visitors that can be accessed via an elevator.

Regional Head Elections in The Mids Of a Pandemic Shouldn’t be Held

      The spread of COVID-19 is happening very fast not only in the world but also in Indonesia, so far it has not ended and has caused the death rate to increase. Not yet complete the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, now Indonesia is faced with a Regional Head Election (Pilkada). The implementation of the 2020 simultaneous regional elections caused a polemic in the midst of the corona pandemic. In 2020, there are approximately 270 regions consisting of 9 provinces, 224 regencies and 37 cities that will carry out regional elections, where each region has different conditions related to the Covid-19 outbreak. In fact, a number of General Election Commission (KPU) officials were also infected with a virus that attacks the respiratory tract. As a result, it is feared that the simultaneous Pilkada which will take place on 9 December will create a new cluster, considering that the Pilkada process is carried out by involving and gathering people.

      First, the simultaneous regional election process during the pandemic is very worrying to trigger the crowd. If new clusters keep popping up, then when will this pandemic end. The main problem is the covid-19 virus. Although the simultaneous regional elections apply health protocols such as wearing masks, keep your distance, but crowds and various violations of health protocols are very possible. The pandemic will not end if new clusters continue to emerge. The government should review its decision because the impacts and risks are not playing games.

       Second, so far more than 100 KPU and Bawaslu officers have contracted the corona virus at the Simultaneous Regional Election 2020 stage. The largest number is in Boyolali Regency, Central Java. Last August, 96 election supervisory officers in Boyolali District tested positive for Covid-19. And if the 2020 regional elections continue to be held, it is feared that the number of Covid clusters will increase and the situation in Indonesia is even more worrying. So that the implementation of elections is not conducive and runs according to objectives. So, the 2020 simultaneous regional elections are better implemented next year, this is done to anticipate the various negative impacts that are feared will arise and will further worsen the condition of the Indonesian nation.

        Therefore, the regional head election shouldn’t be held because of many reasons, especially health. This election make crowd people and maybe give rise to a new cluster. We have to be aware about this pandemic and avoid any possibilities of spreading this virus.
